DVD Tags

I found this tag on a small youtube channel called Stephy Lynn and found the tag very interesting. The tag is the top 5 DVDs you would keep if you had to through every other one away this was very hard for me and I have to choose from and 500+ collection of dvd's but I think I know the 5. So here it goes the first would have to be :

August Rush

This movie to me is very under rated it is the heart reaching tale of a orphan music genius and on his travels to find his perents while experimenting with his love of music. This film really pulled on my heart strings and just has become one of my all time classics. It doesnt have that big of a fan base but it amazing and I would recommend it to everyone even if they didn't like music. 

The next DVD I would keep is  

Mulan

This is my favorite disney film and princess not only did it come out the same day I turned one but its kick ass story has left girls feeling empowered. I love this film and really can't explain why that much but we all have our favourite princess as a child and Mulan was defiantly mine.

This is getting harder number 3 has to be : 

Hairspray 

This movie has such a personal connection to me as it was really the film that made mine and my mums relationship more like a friendship. When it first came out we must have watched a million times now down the line we have seen the production in London. I really do love the way this film can help any mood  that i'm in.

Can you start to see a theme of musical films and the next one is not different it is: 

The king and I 

This film for me is a classic I was raised on old movies and musicals as my nan babysat me basically since birth. I feel that these films were really the best and the king and I was just one of the earliest films I remember watching with nan that and lots of black and white films but this particular one will always be the film I think of while remembering those long movie days. 

And here it goes the last film of my choice is :

Police academy

This one again is because of personal memories. I watched the first one with my brother about a thousand times and it has never got old it will always be the best comical film to me. There are many  police academy films and I own them all but the first is always going to be the best.

There is was all the DVDs that I'd keep if I had to throw away my collection but never let that day come. I think overall the movies I have chosen really have sentimental value to me.
